My favorite atlanta bar that holds amazing live music, drag shows, pop up markets, comedy, and dance nights along with a number of charity events. The drinks are cold, affordable, and service is fantastic. The entire staff is wonderful and definitely a safe place for anyone to enjoy a night out!

Hands down the best dive in L5P or all the ATL for that matter, in my opinion! "Hail!" to the new owners and to bringing the Star Bar back to its former glory! A time before the "dark era" under the ownership of "he who's name shall not be spoken's" tyranny and oppression. Covid 19 ain't got nothin' on this dude and his vile attempt to drive this fine establishment into the ground. I say "let the good times roll" and let's put the "community" back into The Star Community Bar!

Gays, punks, older folks, 90s hip hop lovers — all are welcome on the Star Bar dance floor! A true “Come as you are” style bar with Photo Booth and cheap drinks, you can dance like no one is watching on Tuesday nights 10pm onward (midnight and there were 20+ people on the dance floor). Plus, it’s clean and the bathrooms are wheelchair accessible ✅♿️ 💰There is a shrine to Elvis hidden the “grace vault” plus $4 beer specials and $9 Jack & Cokes, $7 Jagger shots, or $9 espresso vodka shots. 🏧 machine inside next to entrance. To find the “little vinyl bar” (a second bar with very different vibe to the main bar) either enter next to DJ stage in the main bar or, if it’s locked, go outside and down the hill into the parking lot. There are 6 outdoor tables with softly playing music, plus an inside mini bar with wheelchair accessible bathroom and pinball machines!

If you are looking for the best rock n' roll dive in Atlanta, look no further than Star Community Bar. This place has it all, complete with awesome bands, cool staff, pinball machines, a photo booth, and an Elvis Vault. What is the Elvis Vault, you may ask? It is a vault in the corner (cuz they used to be a bank like a zillion years ago) filled with authentic memorabilia that belonged to The King!!!!! Check this place out! You will not regret it!!!!

Star Bar is one of those places I hope exist forever! The vibes are immaculate upstairs & down. The events the crew put on & the hired acts themselves are irreplaceable in the hearts of Atlantans. We’re grateful for the experiences we’ve had here & the friends we’ve made & the art we’ve immensely enjoyed. Sundays markets are a must & make sure you go downstairs so Aries can make you a delicious something! There might even be tacos if you come on the right day 😉
